Community Spring Tours

Tourism Vancouver Island’s Community Spring Tours are an integral component of our commitment to effectively communicate and provide opportunities for stakeholder input and maintain partnerships with our regional destination marketing organizations (DMOs) and communities. We strive to maintain these commitments to the best of our ability to benefit the entire Vancouver Island region.

After careful consideration, Tourism Vancouver Island has regretfully made the decision to postpone our 2009 Community Spring Tours of May 25th, and 27th to 29th, 2009.  This decision was reached after considering the state of the economy and the timing of the event. These factors led to a less than optimum level of stakeholder registrations needed to successfully provide this valuable opportunity. The tourism sustainability workshop offered also garnered insufficient interest to present a successful event.  Tourism Vancouver Island will continue to explore other opportunities to provide professional development for our stakeholders.

Tourism Vancouver Island will coordinate a meeting with the regional DMO’s soon to discuss the future of the annual community spring tours and how we can continue to be effective in our partnerships with each region.
