Canada/BC Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund
- The federal, provincial and local governments are investing more than $150 million in British Columbia for infrastructure projects under the Canada-British Columbia Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund Agreement, officially signed on June 19, 2006.
- The Governments of Canada, British Columbia and the UBCM entered into the Gas Tax Agreement on September 19, 2005. The Agreement is focused on achieving three environmental sustainability outcomes: reduced greenhouse gas emissions, cleaner water and cleaner air.
- An important part of making our communities greener and healthier places to live is the recognition of those innovative local governments that are making a difference, designing sustainable and vibrant communities that encourage physical activity, energy conservation, and produce environmental benefits.
- The Heritage Legacy Fund provides financial assistance to registered charities, non-profit organizations and local governments in support of community projects that conserve and increase the understanding and appreciation of British Columbia's heritage resources.
- Localmotion provides local governments funding assistance for capital projects that make communities greener, healthier and more active and accessible places in which to live.
- The Partnerships Funding Program is a vehicle for the Ministry of Small Business and Revenue to consider financial partnerships for projects that address the small business priorities identified by the Small Business Roundtable, and that further the goals and objectives of the ministry.
- The Towns for Tomorrow Program was developed to address the unique challenges faced by smaller communities in British Columbia with respect to sustainability and meeting their infrastructure needs.
