Media Relations Editorial Catalogues

Following are links to Excel spreadsheets that contain valuable information on editorial clippings catalogued by Tourism Vancouver Island’s media relations department.

If you are familiar with Excel, please proceed to the links by scrolling down the page. If you are not familiar with Excel, please see the listed instructions.

Instructions for use:

  1. Click on the link to open the Excel document.
  2. There are multiple pages/tabs on this document (tabs at the bottom – will read: 1st Quarter Editorials, 2nd Quarter Editorials, 3rd Quarter Editorials, Detailed Breakdown). Please note that some files may only have two tabs, as we will be adding quarterly results as we go through the calendar year.
  3. Search for your company name
    • Go to the editorial tab of your choice (1st quarter, 2nd quarter, etc) by clicking on the tab
    • Go to the last column marked ‘stakeholders’, and click on the little grey box with a down arrow
    • Click on ‘text filters’, and move curser over to select ‘contains’
    • Enter in a portion of your company name (i.e. butchart)
    • Click ‘ok’
  4. The results will display editorial that includes any mention of the search word. You can then see the publication, publication date, author, and value of the editorial.
  5. Should you wish to obtain a copy of the editorial, please contact our office. Stakeholders are welcome to visit our library where the clippings are kept, and take copies for their files (copy charges may apply).
