Consumers contact Tourism Vancouver Island to request travel information. Names, addresses and information on these requests are compiled in our database.
As part of the Regional Partners Research Program, Tourism BC analyses this consumer data collected by the 6 regional tourism associations. This program was initiated to:
- Track the origin of consumers.
- Track the media sources that prompt consumers to call for travel information.
- Track how consumers are requesting information (phone, email, web form, fax, mail).
- Provide a master database for integrated consumers conversion studies.
