During the fall and winter of each year Tourism Vancouver Island’s team dedicates considerable time to establishing a series of objectives, strategies and tactics to reach the association’s overarching goals. The goals of the association are developed by the Board of Directors and form the direction of the strategic plan. Tourism Vancouver Island’s Board of Directors reviews and revises the association’s Strategic Plan on an annual basis.

Goal One: To increase the economic contribution of tourism to the Vancouver Island Region.
Goal Two: To be financially sustainable.
Goal Three: To have an empowered and engaged staff.
Goal Four: To increase the effectiveness of the Board of Directors.
Goal Five: To ensure that the Association is relevant to tourism businesses, government agencies, and residents.
The Tourism Vancouver Island team has come together to discuss and formalize a set of consensus core values that define the positive, proactive nature and worldview of both the organization itself and its employees.
